ALBORADA SPANISH DANCE THEATRE presents The History of Immigration: Spain to Cuba and then NJ

Join New Jersey’s premier Spanish & Flamenco Dance Company, the critically acclaimed Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre, on Sunday, November 12 from 2-3:30 PM for a FREE Public Event. This will be an informative and entertaining History Lecture/Demo at Woodbridge Public Library. Luis Mora-Ballesteros, PhD, Spanish Language Program Coordinator, Department of Spanish and Portuguese, Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences will present immigration history from Spain to Cuba and New Jersey. Also, several humanist speakers will share their family stories, including how they keep their cultural traditions alive in New Jersey with their community, friends, and family.

Alborada’s critically acclaimed dancers, singers, and guest artists will enhance and support this celebration of history and culture. There will be live dance and music demos with traditional costumes and props. Afterward, the audience is invited to meet the presenters and performers while sharing Cuban/Spanish Tapas catered by Havana Central of Menlo Park Mall.
