Alborada Spanish Dance Theatre’s new production, La Evolución Flamenca, celebrates the evolution of Flamenco Dance and Music over the past 250 years. From 18th Century Fandangos and Polo Flamenco to the elegant Caracoles of 19th Century Cafes Cantantes and 20th Century traditional Flamenco from the Caves of Granada to present-day Nuevo Fusion Flamenco. Alborada’s critically acclaimed dancers and musicians will fill Playhouse 22 with spectacular traditional costumes and the sights and sounds of the passion and power of Flamenco Dance, Song and Music. With pounding feet, clicking castanets, twirling fans, and flying silk shawls, the performance will delight audiences of all ages!
