Workshop Description: Jason Samuels Smith will start off the day by leading a movement workshop covering various tap dance techniques and rudiments, teaching a short routine, and incorporating an improvisation circle. The day will also include lectures and discussions around tap dance's representation in visual content and their cultural impact, overall history and progression of tap dance, its current state, and its future trajectory.
