Under the direction of Artistic Director Donna Scro Samori, Freespace Dance presents its 2026 season, Old Is New Again, featuring a powerful collection of works created between 2013 and 2025 alongside a highly anticipated world premiere.
This retrospective program highlights signature works, including Home and Subtext (2013), Falling In (2018), Inner Intricacies (2019), La Lotta (2023), and recent works Intersection and One Forward Two Back (2025). Together, these pieces reflect the company’s exploration of human connection, personal struggle, resilience, and transformation over more than a decade of choreography.
The season also offers a World Premiere, continuing Freespace Dance’s commitment to creating bold, relevant, and meaningful work. This new creation will feature 7 guest artists from the vibrant New Jersey and New York dance communities, further expanding the company’s collaborative reach and artistic impact.
The Freespace Dance company of seven core dancers will perform throughout the program, bringing past works back to the stage alongside the new world premiere.
