The Outlet Dance Project is pleased to announce its upcoming 2-day festival at Grounds For Sculpture (GFS). Thursday, October 5
at 7:00pm is the Dance on Film portion – an evening of stunning dance films from around the globe. Exploring embodied stories as portals, these wide-ranging, site-specific works dive into the myriad of ways storytelling can unfold, making for an unforgettable viewing experience. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the artists.
Saturday, October 7 is the annual Day of Dance. The performance will run twice, at 12pm and 2:30pm. This accessible, family-friendly afternoon of remarkable live dance performances makes for a spectacular journey through GFS. It is a community favorite. Come experience dance and sculpture in a whole new way! Inspired by GFS’ newest exhibits, the theme of this year’s festival is STORY. Rain date is October 8. 2023 choreographers are Esther Baker-Tarpaga, Jenna Charko, Heidi Cruz-Austin, Kiana Rosa Fischer, Shuning Huang, Sri Thina Subramaniam & Aparna Shankar, Jennifer Turnbull, and Cierra Woods.
