Miss Shona's Performing Arts Center in Maplewood, NJ is seeking energetic, positive, responsible and reliable Modern teacher on Tuesday evenings (ages 7+).. Applicants must be available September through mid-June. Teaching experience is desirable but passion for working with children is a must.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing lesson plans and teaching weekly dance classes (students of all ages)
- Teaching a variety of levels and ages
- Choreographing dances for our June recital and performances, including selecting music and costumes
- Maintaining the safety of our performers
- Upholding the professionalism and fun, positive energy of Miss Shona's PAC
- Qualified applicants will be required to perform a demo class as part of the hiring process.
- Pay rate is negotiable and dependent on experience and training. Typically $25.00 - $50.00 per hour
- Teachers must have reliable transportation.
- Paid training will be provided for qualified candidates. New instructors may complete a paid training period before teaching independently.
