Matheny Medical and Educational Center has a career opportunity available for Part Time Arts Acess Dancer at our facility located in Peapack, NJ.

Duties of this position include:

Adheres to the philosophies and methodologies of the Arts Access program and the protocols of the dance discipline.

Assists clients in technical aspects of choreography and creative movement.

Communicates effectively and strives to develop a rapport with the Facilitator and participant(s).

Maintains all relevant equipment i.e., iPad, iPod, Patter Charts, Sound Dock, etc.

Remains in current practice with own dance/choreography and professional pursuits.

Proactively researches current and new techniques, developments and methods specific to the dance discipline under the guidance and supervision of the Facilitation Coordinator/Director.

Assists and/or performs on special trips, museum visits,events, shows, and other activities as assigned.

Assists with transport of clients as needed.

Assists in other areas of the Arts Access department as assigned.

Contributes necessary data and information to annual reports.

Assists the Facilitator with documentation of all necessary data for clients to be able to effectively complete their work.

Assists with maintaining backups of all notes and pertinent information for the archival of choreographic work, including the submission of the iPad for backup on a bi-weekly basis.
