Take your work beyond the classroom and onto the festival screen!
As part of Dance on Camera’s 55th Festival, we’re introducing a new Student Program created specifically to celebrate dance films made by undergraduate and graduate students.
Some of the most exciting creative work begins in school, through class assignments, independent projects, thesis films, collaborations with friends, or simply an idea you decided to try. We want to give that work a life beyond the classroom.
The Student Program gives student filmmakers and dance artists the opportunity to share their work with a wider audience and experience having their film presented as part of an internationally recognized dance film festival.
Your film doesn’t need to come from a professional production. It doesn’t need a huge budget, an established team, or years of filmmaking experience behind it. We’re interested in what you made, what you discovered through the process, and the perspective you’re beginning to develop as an artist.
If you made a dance film while you were a student, send it our way.
Artists selected for the program will receive:
- A screening of their film as part of the 55th Dance on Camera Festival
- Complimentary access to designated festival workshops
- Discounted tickets to additional Dance on Camera Festival programming
